With Content Sync the default behavior of publishing sites is to push content automatically and to push all references with it like taxonomy terms (tags, categories etc), paragraphs, bricks or media elements. The main advantage of pushing content automatically is:

  • Immediate availability: Create your content once and use it anywhere.
    • Example: You have published a news article and want the article to be available to all subscribing sites.
    • Value: No more copy&paste and no delays.

Did you know?
The push behaviour does not dictate how you pull content on other sites. You can automatically push content whether it's going to been pulled automatically or manually- any combination is possible. The push behaviour does not dictate how you pull content on other sites. Access

Just create or edit content. When saving the content it will be pushed immediately without further action needed.

Features

Select Pool (optional)

When editing, you will see all available Pools in the right sidebar at Content Cloud (or Content Repository for our on-premise customers). Assign the content to any of the pools with a simple click.

Please note that this option isn't always available. Your site builders can configure Content Sync to automatically assign the right pool for you so that your editors aren't even bothered.

Push on save

For content that is pushed automatically, your Save button will turn into a Save and Push button instead to help your editors understand what's happening.

Success messages

After saving the content, Content Sync will greet your editor with a success message (our on-premise customers will see the wording Content Repository instead of Content Cloud).

If you try to push content that doesn't have any pool assigned, Content Sync will display a notice that the content wasn't actually pushed and you have to assign a pool first.
