Before your start, make sure to checkout the Technical Requirements and how to Install and enable the module.

On the following pages you will find an example how a setup for Content Syndication could look like and what needs to be done to set it up. Further information about Content Syndication could be found here.

All connected sites must have the same configuration for the entity types you want to share. Our example setup includes:

Pools

  • DACH
  • Germany
  • Austria
  • Switzerland

Requirements

  • Every connected site will be able to create new content of type "basic page" and push it to any of the pools above. All sites belong to the DACH Region/Pool, so that when a content gets pushed to it, all sites will receive it.
  • Content that has been imported is restricted to be edited and can only be edited on the source site.
  • Besides the content itself we will also export Taxonomy Terms automatically that are referenced within these pages.

Sites

  • Germany
    • Belongs to the pools: DACH, Germany
  • Austria

In the following steps we assume that the 3 sites are already setup, and the content type "basic page" exists on all of them with the fields: Title, Category (Taxonomy Reference) and Body.
